Tactical Casualty Care for Law Enforcement/First Responder (TCCC-LE/FR) is a course specifically designed utilizing all tasks recommended for level 1 of the TCCC continuum set by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) and the Self-Aid/Buddy-Aid model for Military Combat Care.
TCCC-LE/FR is the initial medical care in the form of Self-Aid/Buddy-Aid that can be provided for officer(s) receiving a life threatening injury. The officer(s) as the first responder can render care to himself, partner or a citizen, keeping the patient alive until the scene is declared safe for Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel.
